drivers ed handbook texas
texas Drivers Ed permit question?
ok im in drivers ed in texas and i wanted to get my permit. my instructor said that we had to do the 84 questions in the back of the handbook; done it. we also had to get some stuff together such as social securtiy card and stuff like that. i got that too. the only problem is that right now im 14 BUT ill be 15 in like a week.
can i still get my permit even tho im not 15 but really close??
No, they won’t let you. You have to be 15. I live in Texas too, but I got my permit at 17 and held it for 6 months. I recently turned 18, but they wouldn’t even renew my license till I turned 18, even though it was the next day.
So yeah, you’re gonna have to wait.
I mean, you can always TRY, and then just return to the DMV after you turn 15, but I really doubt they’ll let you.
